​Vanessa is a wahine Māori/Pākehā (Ngāti Hāua, Ngā Wairiki Ngāti Apa) independent theatre maker and producer from Aotearoa New Zealand. With a degree in musical theatre, Immink found herself in the producing world on international touring shows like Cirque du Soleil’s Crystal, Hamilton, Singin In the Rain, Cats, Blue Man Group and Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

Immink has previously held positions such as the Senior Programmer (Fringe Club) at Adelaide Fringe Festival (2019-2020), Senior Producer & Marketing Manager at Kia Mau Festival (2020-2021) and the Project Producer for Māori advocacy organisation Ngā Hua Toi (2020 – 2021).

In 2023 Immink was the Arts Development Coordinator and successfully led the Whakatāne District Arts, Culture & Creativity Strategy - a 10 year strategy for the creative community to council adoption. She is currently the Executive Producer of te reo Māori musical - Whakapaupakihi.

In 2021 Immink created VOLT, a digital education arts management platform for independent producers and self-producing artists – a hub for independent creatives to learn practical producing and arts management skills.

​In 2022 Vanessa was selected as one of 25 emerging BIPOC producers to attend Theatre Producers of Color programme, a 10-week programme for BIPOC producers focussing on commercial producing in the USA and other international markets.

Vanessa is alumni of the International Society of Performing Arts (ISPA) Global Fellowship.
